Sensor Simulation Engineer / Principal Investigator - Hands-on Technical Lead

Description:
This position is a senior member of the corporate technical team and is a technical expert in one or more specific disciplines related to company's customer solutions. This position requires an individual capable of interfacing directly with customers as the project lead while also being the hands-on technical developer of hardware and software solutions.

You will be responsible for development, maintenance and enhancement of sensor effects related to multiple disciplines (Radar, Optical, Weather, Materials, etc.) supported under the various real-time software tools under company's toolkits. This includes customizations made to existing software to meet customer specifications, creating interface to customer hardware and/or software and development of new functionality to meet customer specifications or corporate vision. Additionally, you will lead and/or supports R&D activities related to solving unique US Government customer needs.

Requirement:
- PhD, MS or BS in Physics, Engineering, Optics, Math or Computer Science
- Sensor experience: EO, IR, hyperspectral, LADAR, LIDAR, RADAR (ISAR/SAR, RBGM, DBS, SSS), sonar
- GPU or CUDA or real-time ray-tracing coding experience
- Software development experience (C and C)
- Comfortable with algebra / math
- Self-motivated and self-managed/productive
- Comfortable with remote-team environment
- Capable of gaining a US Government security clearance
- Linux and Windows experience
- Must have ability to program graphics card
- Must have optical sensor and radar, infrared optics, and thermal infrared technology experience
- Must be US Citizen

Pluses:
- Advanced math, physics or engineering modeling
- Hardware experience
- Strong Linux experience
- Good technical proposal writing skills

Relocation package is offered, or you may work remotely in the US if you have the proper infrastructure already in place.
