To support our growth, we are looking for an experienced Sr. Software Engineer with Machine Vision experience. This position is part of the R&D department's software engineering team, reporting to VP of Software Engineering. Essential Job Functions: - Develop imaging algorithms to screen moving bottles/cans on high-speed conveyor belts - Utilize image filters, detection and recognition techniques to reliably identify defects - Implement both conventional and machine learning methods to adapt and re-configure to new container types, labels, and products - Statistically analyze image data sets for descriptive features - Derive classifiers to reliably sort rejects from accepts in real-time - Optimally map algorithms onto multi-processor DSP architectures - Develop next-generation systems on GPU and multi-core processors

Requirement:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in image processing, filters, feature extraction and classification algorithms. High-speed image defect identification or object search experience a plus - Experience creating image acquisition models using cameras, illumination and optics techniques - Experience in high-speed, distributed image processing platforms leveraging DSP, GPU or multi-core architectures - Extensive experience with Matlab, C/C , Linux or any RTOS - Master's degree in computer engineering, physics or a related technical discipline In addition to a competitive salary, company provides comprehensive benefits including medical and dental plans; vision, short term & long-term disability insurance, a 401(k) plan, flexible spending accounts, paid holidays, and more.
