Description:
The software architect is responsible for the all of the software architecture activities for the Service Provider Business Unit. He/She will be responsible for the software roadmap planning and implementation. The roadmap is defined based on customer input, standards, chip vendor offerings, and company innovations. Software Architect will also have management responsibility of a software team that will execute the roadmap defined.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, Devise and Implement an overall software Strategy.
- Will be the owner of the product platform roadmap and its delivery to all the platforms supported.
- Defines milestones for delivery of feature sets.
- Owner of the software development lifecycle.
- Working closely with the software team, help develop a strong patent portfolio
- Provide technical leadership in responding to RFIs and RFPs
- Manage remote software teams.
- Work closely with partners to define software architecture and requirements for tasking new products and features to market.

Requirement:
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong technical background, with prior experience working with Service Providers in the Telco, Cable and / or Mobile space.
- Must have the ability to work independently to devise overall software strategy and drive the implementation while working with cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of networking and CPE devices software architectures.
- Good interpersonal skills and able to work well with people from all regions at all technical and management levels.
- Mature communication with partners, peers and managers. Skillful verbal and writing abilities and effective presentation skills.
- 5-7 years of software architecture in telecom and networking experience with demonstrated knowledge of technology, industry and branding.
- Thorough understanding of the service provider market is a must.
- Demonstrated leadership skills to focus internal resources, coordinate R&D and coordinate business partners.
- Past background in software development is a must to understand and work closely with software engineers.
- B.S. In Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
