Description:
Seeking product managers to be responsible for the product definition, requirements of all frameworks and tooling necessary for the successful running of Applications for customers on Company Cloud, as well as for On-Demand and On-Premise customers. This is a senior position, working in the center of Cloud initiatives.

This person needs to essentially be an architect who wants to move into product management.

The successful candidate will develop a deep understanding of all Middleware products as well as all Applications products, and will be responsible for the lifecycle frameworks of such, including install/provisioning, OVM creation and rehydration, patching, upgrade, Cloning, P2T, etc. Framework and tooling created will be used by every single Applications customer, and plays the central role of enabling and managing Customer needs within company's Cloud. As a product manager of the team, you will work on and provide directions to projects that solve complex problems that provide substantial customer value. As a Product Manager, you will be in daily interaction with other key architects, along with executives and leaders across the Applications and Cloud initiatives. You will work with team members spread across the globe. This is an extremely challenging, very fast paced, extremely rewarding and highly visible position.

Projects are developed leveraging leading technologies such as Oracle Virtual Machine, Oracle Identify Management, Service Oriented Architecture, etc. and using programming languages/tools that include Java, XML, SQL, PL/SQL, and deployed on cloud based infrastructure as well as traditional physical infrastructure.

In this position, you will lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will:
- Analyze and integrate external customer specifications
- Suggest and justify product directions and specifications
- Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture
- Build new products and development tools
- Review integration and regression test plans created by QA
- Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality

Responsibilities for this position include:
- Hands on production definition, requirements and architectural leadership for envisioning, designing and creating frameworks and tools supporting all life cycle operations needed for successful technical management of product, including install/provisioning, upgrades, patching, OVM creation and rehydration, Production to Test (P2T), Cloning, Disaster Recovery (DR), High Availability (HA), etc.
- Developing and setting product requirements and standards across Fusion Middleware, Fusion Application and Cloud operations to ensure successful, efficient, world-class LCM capabilities.
- Working with external teams, architects and executives throughout company to define and prioritize life cycle support requirements, define and refine product requirements, ensure functional and performance excellence, oversee successful process rollout, drive requirements and documentation across the rest of the overall LCM areas.
- Develop deep technical and domain understanding, and provide product definition & guidance, in all areas of the Fusion stack and Cloud offerings, including across all Fusion Applications products and all Fusion Middleware products and components.

Requirement:
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. In this position you will be a leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in lifecycle domain and in necessary technologies to provide detailed product requirements, and thought leadership to a large, world-wide team. Should have deep technical/functional leadership experience in SaaS/Cloud as well as in enterprise software solutions. High degree of competence in written and verbal communication skills, including to executive audiences are required. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 10-15 years of software engineering and product management experience required.

The ideal candidate will have the following:
- BS or MS degree in computer science or equivalent, with a solid foundation in complex software system design
- 7 years of recent software engineering or related experience.
- Commercial experience as lead product manager of complex cross application products and/or underlying infrastructure that has shipped and in use by large number of customers. This includes proven success in thought leadership and product/project management, as well as successful implementations of such.
- Operations experience in a data center. Understand network topologies, IT processes, and deployment architectures (e.g. layout of resources within a data center).
- Expertise in analyzing requirements, designing, and implementing scalable and distributed systems. Includes concurrent execution as well as multi-thread applications.
- Understanding of security constructs including passwords and certificates.

- Ability to work in an extremely fast paced and challenging environment
