Description:
Seeking hands-on Development Engineer to design, develop and maintain backup product. In this position you will enhance and expand the capabilities of the backup system to meet the needs of customers. You will with technologies to integrate the backup product with other technologies and products within the company. You will work on the next generation of backup technology.

Clients large or small in Unix, Linux, Windows and NAS environments. Backup system integrates with Recovery and Storage management and NDMP technology. Environment is highly secure, distributed environment. Tools must be extremely robust.

Requirement:
- BS or MS degree in CS or equivalent and 8 or more years of software engineering experience relevant to distributed software development.
- Experience with software design, development, unit and system integration testing and debugging of components using current programming languages and technologies.
- Will work as an individual contributor within a distributed development team.
- Must have in-depth knowledge of C programming in a Linux, Solaris and Windows environments
- Good working knowledge of build systems
- Good prioritization skills, problem solving skills, and written and verbal communication skills as well as commitment to schedules.
- Experience developing in a client server environment and knowledgeable about inter-process communication mechanism, in particular RPC.
- Experience in networking/security level development, NDMP, SCSI, Tape drives and Tape libraries are highly desirable.
- The ideal candidate will have a background in backup or storage management software development.
- Effective Communication skills and very strong problem resolution skills
