Description:
A fast growing Semiconductor Distributor, is immediately looking for a field applications engineer to support their customers using Cavium Networks products. This is a high visibility, independent contributor position for uniquely qualified applicants.

In this position you will provide pre and post-sales technical support to customers using Cavium Networks products with a focus on enterprise/consumer networking and security applications. This includes presentation of technical material at customer meetings, demonstration of embedded networking/security products and software development tools. Must be adept at working with customers at all levels, technical discovery of customer needs, solution recommendations, and managing many customer engagements simultaneously.

Requirement:
Knowledge or experience in: - CPU architecture, multi-CPU/SMP architecture and programming - Networking/security protocols, software, systems, and equipment - C programming, troubleshooting, performance analysis in embedded Linux - Linux OS internals, device drivers, bin utils and C libraries - Good knowledge of GNU tool chain, Gcc, Gdb - Embedded systems development and debugging techniques

Applicant must be able to successfully work remotely, be able to contact and follow up with customers independently; sometimes cold calling. Must be able to cross sell other company products.

Location: Orange County, CA (work from home), or could also be located in Los Angeles, or San Diego.
