Description:
Consulting Engineer will work with other engineers to:
- Engineer and implement Voice over IP systems to satisfy client telephony requirements.
- Create project plans detailing steps and level of effort required to complete client project goals. - Execute on the project plan to implement client goals.
- Advise vendors and clients on Best Current Practice as it related to project steps and project goals.
- Provide operational and technical support to client and client staff during implementation and after project goals are met.
- Manage - Client, - Vendor, and Vendor - Client communications to ensure timely completioin of project goals.
- This position allows Engineer to be based from home and will travel 50% to client sites.

Requirement:
* Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
* Excellent interpersonal skills to work as team member.
* VoIP/telecom experience with SIP, MGCP, ISDN, and/or SS7.
* Sound conceptual understanding of the US national telephone network
* UNIX Shell Scripting and Java Programming skills.
* Linux, UNIX, or Solaris platform system administration, tuning and maintenance.
* 50% travel required.
