Seeking a business development executive for the North American nuclear instrumentation and controls (I&C) marketplace. The individual must have current industry experience and an understanding of the regulatory environment. Preferably the individual will also have a portfolio of current contacts with utility decision-makers. The individual will utilize their knowledge and connections to capture and develop new business.<br><br> DUTIES:<br> - Meet or exceed established goals for the capture of equipment supply contracts<br> - Identify and qualify new prospects<br> - Support company marketing efforts through active participation in industry meetings and conferences <br> - Serve as an industry subject matter expert on topics surrounding digital I&C upgrades<br> - Conceive new product and service offerings that meet customer and regulatory requirements<br> - Generate the commercial component of customer proposals<br> - Guide product development through the supply of customer feedback<br> - Complete trip reports, expense reports, and other associated paperwork covering activities in the field<br> - Protect organization's value by maintaining strict discretion and confidentiality<br> - Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base on technical details of company service offerings and tools<br> - Ensure customer satisfaction<br> - Perform other activities as directed

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.<br> - Must have a minimum of 5 years of directly-related work experience, in an Engineering, Sales, Business Development, or Project Management role<br> - Must have at least a bachelor's degree level of formal education, in a technical field<br> - Should ideally already have a preliminary understanding of the US regulatory environment for nuclear safety-related equipment<br> - Must have prior industry experience, either for a utility, service company, or vendor<br> - Must have computer skills, including the ability to use MS Office applications<br> - Must have excellent communication skills, and be able to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees<br> - Must be discreet, energetic, self-starting, self-managed, highly ethical, and have impeccable attention to detail and time-management skills<br> - Must have a strong work ethic<br> - Must be a team player with personality traits and communication skills that enable him/her to work with all levels of staff, vendors, and customers<br><br> TRAVEL:<br> Travel Percentage: 25-50%, some of which may be international<br><br> PHYSICAL DEMANDS:<br> The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
