Description:
Seeking Design Engineer with experience designing commercial Audio Visual integration. In this position you will:
- Provide responsive assistance to Senior Design Engineer(s) and Project Manager(s).
- Develop preliminary and conceptual designs specific to commercial sound and video technology on the basis of information provided by clients and staff account executives.
- Conduct necessary research and facilitate testing and review of equipment and materials with the intent of using the results to develop shop and field integration and installation instructions.
- Support and participate in business development as directed by supervisor
- Stay informed with new technology and industry innovations and trends through on going reading of industry trade publications, attending industry trade shows, seminars and educational forums.
- Take responsibility for resolving problems, errors and oversights regardless of fault with the intention of providing nominally operating systems and products.
- Drafting of information using AutoCad and other computer software and hardware resources.
- Notify supervisor and/or project managers in the event that time required completing tasks will exceed the allotted budget.
- Support and participate in shop and field testing as directed by supervisor. Keep results accurately cataloged as defined by division standards or project specifications.
- Immediately advise supervisor and/or others in the event of a anticipated shortages or problems with regard to materials or information required perform tasks.
- Contribute to the development of a method of organizing and storing project documents. Be a key contributor to the project documentation submittal process.
- Capture dimensions at remote locations when requested to do so.
- Support communications with client representatives and other involved contractors and company staff. Upon request, contribute to communications with project manager regarding progress of job, support the project manager with regard to project documentation.
- As directed, develop and acquire project documentation such as drawings, sketches, copies of manuals, specification data, to include assistance in interpretation and collection of information to develop or refine drawings.
- As directed, assume responsibility for the engineering process in determining solutions for unknowns when they occur such as cable lengths, connector types, mechanical spacing or support materials.
- Provide telephone support to clients and related persons or firms.
- Contribute to formal project personnel performance evaluations and reviews at the conclusion of each engagement for all of company staff and selected subcontractors when requested.
- Attend technical training when required. Training may require travel and lodging.
Requirement:
- 4+ years of designing commercial Audio Visual Integration
- AutoCAD
- Audio Visual Product Knowledge |
