Successful advanced materials nanotechnology company focused on the sporting goods and consumer products industries is seeking a Director of Sales with Engineering and testing knowledge. As a new position in company, the Director of Sales will focus on selling to manufactures of Consumer Products. This position will be responsible for working directly with clients in areas such as Sporting Goods and Consumer Products. This position will be selling products that leverage nanometals. The position will also help clients to optimize product designs that will be manufactured using patent-protected, electro-deposition process. As a team-player, this position will also work closely with the Project Manager, and the Technology Team to ensure that proposed products can perform as required and meet cost targets.
Looking for goal-oriented and motivated self starters who are naturally curious problem-solvers and who value the insights of other professionals in developing engineering solutions. The successful applicant will have a successful track record of proven sales in multi-cultural environment with suppliers and clients spread around the globe.

- Identify application for technology in consumer products
- Learn technology and industry capabilities to be able to develop compelling value proposition
- Developing relationships with key customers, and enable the company to grow at least $10 million in sales per year.

Requirement:
Qualified applicants will possess at least 5 years of experience in sales engineering and at least 5 years of Engineering / Product Development experience. A bachelor's degree in material or mechanical engineering, industrial design, materials science, or metallurgy is preferred.
Mandatory Skills

- Proven Sales Ability
- Familiarity with advanced materials and mechanical property testing
- Consumer goods material selection and testing expertise
- Confident public speaker and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with clients and vendors
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word & Project)
- Ability to travel up to 60% domestic, and international
