Description:
Project Background
The project's main objective is to develop a state-of-the-art automated mission planning system for imaging satellites. This system allocates image collection tasks to a fleet of satellites, based on various requirements to acquire imagery. The development is done under MS Windows in visual studio 2005 and uses ORACLE 10.g database. The programming languages used in the project are:
- C++ for development of Algorithm components.
- C# for development of Application and infrastructures.
- PL/SQL for development of stored procedures.
The Senior System Engineer will be part of a team building state-of-the-art and challenging project. His or her primary tasks will be:
- Thoroughly understand the structure and design of a very complex system.
- Define the structure and build the content of internal software tests.
- Define the structure and build the content of system internal and external software integrations.
- Manage a group of system engineers and testers, assign them tasks and monitor their progress.
- Manage and control the project's bugs repository using Rational Clear Quest tool.
Requirement:
- At least 6 years of proven experience in System Engineering tasks of large software systems.
- Proven experience in construction of Software system integration and testing documents.
- Proven experience in team management.
- Proven experience in integration management.
- Experience with bug tracking systems. Rational Clear Quest - advantage.
- Software Engineering background - advantage
- Mathematical background - advantage
Required Personal skills:
- The candidate should be a quick, self-guided, and independent learner.
- The candidate should be able to manage a team of several engineers.
- The candidate should be able to define their own role in consistence with the system vision (capability to see the big picture)
- The candidate should be a team worker.
