Description:
Project Background The project's main objective is to develop a state-of-the-art automated mission planning system for imaging satellites. This system allocates image collection tasks to a fleet of satellites, based on various requirements to acquire imagery. The development is done under MS Windows in visual studio 2005 and uses ORACLE 10.g database. The programming languages used in the project are:
- C++ for development of Algorithm components.
- C# for development of Application and infrastructures.
- PL/SQL for development of stored procedures.

Requirement:
The Senior DBA and Software developer will be part of a team building a state-of-the-art and challenging project. His or her primary task will be to understand the structure of the project's database, and be able to maintain, update, and enhance it as the project evolves. In addition the developer will be responsible to maintain a corresponding data access layer, which enables the rest of the project's developers to work seamlessly with tables and views of the database. &

Required technical skills:
- At least 6 years of proven experience (hands-on) of software development, including experience in large-scale software development projects of mission critical systems.
- At least 4 years of proven experience in Oracle Schema Design for IT systems with high performance requirements, including a minimum experience of 2 years with Oracle 9i or Oracle 10g.
- Proven experience in Oracle Databases Administration on an MS-Windows environment.
- Proven experience in Oracle performance tuning.
- Proven experience in versioning, source controlling and deployment of Databases for development and production environments.
- Proven experience in building backup solutions for 24-7 Database servers.
- The candidate must have relevant experience with development on a Windows environment (XP, server 2003).

The following areas of expertise are an advantage:
- .NET environment and experience in development in Visual C++ / C#.
- Developing reports using the Crystal Reports.
- The candidate should be able to understand and design large-scale schemas for complicated project environments

- The candidate should be able to define their own role in consistence with the system vision (capability to see the big picture)
- The candidate should be a team worker.

- The candidate should be able to adapt to an existing software infrastructure.
