Tester / Chinese or Japanese Translator

Description:
Candidate must read/write either Japanese, Chinese or Traditional Chinese (Taiwan) as well as English. In this position, you will:

- Evaluate, prepare and execute software verification test procedures based on software requirements.
- Evaluate test results and generate and distribute applicable test reports.
- Establish and maintain software issue tracking system and provide support as required.
- Be involved in cross-functional meetings to resolve any software test/quality issues
- Support execution of test protocols on the GemStar and Plum A+ Chinese or Japanese language translation.
- Support verification and validation of new software.

Requirement:
- Must be able to read and write, in both English and one or more of the above languages.
- Know and comply with company procedures, GMP, SOP, and GLP
- Work well as a team member
- Execute written test procedures.
- Use computer skills and knowledge of software packages such as Word, Excel, Access and DevTrac to create and maintain documentation.
- Knowledge of medical terms and practice preferred.
- AA Degree is preferred but not required.
- 1 year experience as a technician or in the documentation field.
- Have experience as a translator of one or more of the above languages
- Ability to note software/translation issues which arise as part of testing the product.
- Incomplete, incorrect or sloppy tests can result in extended testing time and missed deadlines. They can also result in software defects not being located until the product is released to the market which in turn results in increased costs.
- Position involves almost continuous need to be able to concentrate mentally and visually.
- Need to be able to follow test procedures and note resulting behavior on the product under test.
